In general, look for repeated words or patterns of letters and start there One-letter words which almost always represent are an easy way to start, if they're there Here are some common patterns: A letter that starts several two-letter words is likely to be which apears in IN, IS,IT and IF which appears ON and OR pattern AB A likely to represent TT The pattern 'C' is probably 'HE'S' or 'IT'S' A letter that ends several words likely FO represent appears in the next- -to-last slot fairly often too.
